Our rounds are built to fit your nursing team’s workflow, strengthen your wound documentation, and help you keep residents healing in place with fewer avoidable transfers.
As a vascular medicine clinic, we bring added depth to wound care. Poor circulation drives many nonhealing wounds, and pressure injuries are frequently misclassified, which can complicate both treatment and survey readiness. Our physician evaluates each wound for what is actually causing it, not just what it looks like on the surface, so your team gets accurate staging and a realistic plan.
Our facility wound rounds are designed to bring physician-led wound care directly to your residents, your nursing team, and your facility workflow. We evaluate wounds at the bedside, document wound status clearly, and provide practical treatment recommendations, including inelastic compression wraps and Unna boots, that facility staff can realistically implement.
During rounds, we focus on early identification of new or worsening wounds, accurate wound measurements, staging, drainage assessment, periwound findings, pressure injury risk factors, offloading needs, moisture control, infection concerns, nutrition barriers, and signs that a wound requires escalation.
Unlike many mobile-only services, Vein and Wound Center of LA also has brick-and-mortar clinic support. When a resident needs a higher level of evaluation or treatment, our clinic provides additional diagnostic and procedural support beyond routine bedside rounds.
There is NO cost to your facility for our physician wound rounds.
When services are billable to the resident’s insurance, our clinic handles all direct billing according to payer rules and medical necessity. If a service requires separate facility coordination or prior authorization, we communicate clearly in advance.
